Should I tell my Therapist if I have any physical ailments, disabilities or allergies?

Absolutely - YES. In particular, if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, allergies (especially nuts), or if you are pregnant. Please notify us so that we can accommodate you in a special way.

Why do I need to fill out a health form?

It is important that the health information you provide is complete and accurate. This information is confidential and is required by law for Registered Massage Therapists, and Jasmine feels it should be no different for esthetics, therefore this is a request that we now make for aesthetics services as well.  This information is accessed only by Jasmine and is stored in a secure area of confidentiality.

What if I have a cold or the flu?

If you have a cold or the flu, we kindly ask that you reschedule your appointment with us out of respect to your therapist and other clients.

Must I unclothe completely?

For spa treatments such as Airbrush Tanning, it is your choice to go nude or wear swimsuit or underwear.  For a treatment such as bikini or brazilian, it is ultimately your comfort level - don't be afraid to be honest with your esthetician.

Keep in mind, our spa therapists are trained to drape towels and sheets discreetly to ensure your privacy is protected at all times.

May I wear makeup?

You are welcome to wear makeup.  However, before some treatments, such as Lash Lift/Tint and Brow Treatments, all facial makeup - especially mascara - must be removed.  Please feel free to take a couple minutes to freshen up after your treatment in our client washroom.  Face wash or makeup remover wipes can be provided.

Should I shave?

For body treatments, please refrain from shaving 24 - 48 hours before any spa body treatments.

We want you to be as comfortable as possible and shaving may cause a burning or itching feeling, especially during exfoliation treatments, such as sugaring or waxing.

For hair removal treatments, the rule of thumb is to allow 2 weeks since your last shave.  Your hair is removed best when it is approximately 1/4 to 1/2 an inch - that's about the length of a cooked long grain rice.   If in doubt, please feel free to ask Jasmine.

Should I take my jewelry off?

Please do not bring valuables to the spa.  Imagine Day Spa is not responsible for lost or misplaced items.  Valuables are best left at home.

What to bring and wear?

If receiving an eye treats service and you are a contact lenses wearer, please bring your contact case and solution as you will be asked to please remove your contacts.

May I ask the Spa Therapist to adjust certain things for my comfort?

Yes.  This is your time and you should enjoy the entire experience.  Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make it more enjoyable for you.  (ie:  room temperature, pillows, music, etc.)

Please do not wait until after your appointment to discuss your concerns as our therapists are professionally trained to make any adjustments that you may require during your service.

Can I talk?

Of course!  Our esthetician will allow you to lead - meaning if you'd like to talk by all means.  If you are quiet, the esthetician will take your lead and be quiet as well.  Peace and tranquility are essential elements of a serene spa experience, but giving your spa therapist feedback, such as areas requiring more or less attention, music volume or room temperature is perfectly acceptable and will only enhance the enjoyment of your experience.

How far in advance should I book my appointment?

To ensure the date and time you would like, you should book your appointment as far in advance as possible.  Online booking allows up to 8 weeks in advance, however if you have a vacation or special date further in advance than 8 weeks, you may contact Jasmine to book that for you manually.

Please keep in mind, more popular times such as evenings and the week prior to long weekends book up farther in advance.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

We realize that plans change now and then.   But out of respect for our Therapist and other guests please give 24 hour notice so your spot may be filled and we can re-book you for another day and time.
